Yes 30,000 employees working less than 30 hours per week at Wal Mart will see their benefits eliminated effective January 1. This follows moves made by Home Depot, Walgreen’s, Trader Joe’s and Target. Wal Mart had previously cut back its program in 2011 to eliminate coverage of associates working fewer than 24 hours per week. Of course, these people will need somewhere to go…so look for more subsidies on the exchanges.
