Now the IRS has denied the ACO a tax exemp­tion where they “coor­di­nate care for peo­ple with com­mer­cial insur­ance” – which would be every­body it serves. The ratio­nale is that the ACO is not oper­at­ed “exclu­sive­ly for char­i­ta­ble pur­pos­es and it pro­vid­ed pri­vate ben­e­fits to some doc­tors in its net­work” True…so whith­er goest ACOs to wither?
